"Krrish 3" has made a business of around ₹189.91 crore in just nine days at the domestic box office. The lifetime collections of Ranbir Kapoor-Deepika Padukone starrer "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" stand at ₹188.57 crore.
The first week total of Rakesh Roshan's directorial venture "Krrish 3" is ₹166.52 crore. The film collected ₹9.16 crore on the second Friday and ₹14.23 crore the following day.
The film is now aiming to cross the ₹200-crore mark and become the third highest grosser film ever in the history of Indian cinema. Rakesh Roshan is confident that his film will cross the double century mark in India.
Going by the trend, the film should cross ₹200 crore by the second weekend. It requires another ₹11 crore to cross the mark and looking at Saturday's figures, it is likely that the film will achieve it by Sunday.
"3 Idiots" was the first film to cross the mark in 2009. After almost four years, "Chennai Express" became the second film. Hrithik's film "Krrish 3" will join the elite league.
The film is performing better than "Chennai Express" in Indian markets, mainly because of the Diwali holidays and also due to no big releases. The science fiction film should surpass the figures of "Chennai Express" by the second week if it maintains the momentum.
