In the latest update on the Kritika Chaudhary murder case, the police suspect that the actress-model was killed probably because of a drug deal fallout. A packet of white powder was recovered by the police near the body, which they believe to be drugs.
While the first test performed by the police revealed that the powder was MD, samples have also been sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory for further testing. "We are awaiting official confirmation from FSL," a source told the Times of India.
Twenty people have been questioned until now regarding the murder of 27-year-old struggling actress and the police suspect a former watchman of the building who is now missing. "A man who used to work in the building was missing and was not even at his new job. We have sent a team to his Lucknow residence in Uttar Pradesh," the source said.
Kritika's ex-husband Vijay Dwivedi is also being interrogated though the police don't think he could have killed her.
Kritika was found dead under mysterious circumstances in her apartment at Andheri West in Mumbai, on Monday, June 12. She was hit on her head by a brass knuckle duster. The police suspect that the incident happened on the night of June 7 after Kritika spoke to her parents over the phone. The murder doesn't seem to be a planned one, according to the police.
