Kong: Skull Island has dropped a new trailer and it has given fans a good look at the biggest, baddest ape that's expected to smash the box office in March 2017.
Kong: Skull Island follows a team of explorers who venture into the island that is home to the King of the Apes known as King Kong. Most of the action in the movie takes place in the 1970s, but the explorers are equipped with a lot of modern technology that sadly do not help them beat the ape.
The film is directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts and it stars Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, John Goodman, Samuel L. Jackson and John C. Reilly among others.
The first trailer of the movie that was released at San Diego Comic Con was rather dark, but the recently released trailer has showcased the comedic elements, thanks to Reilly's character who points out that the ape is the king of person, who loves to keep to himself, unless intruders decide to start bombing his home.
The trailer has garnered a lot of interest and netizens have been cracking jokes linking King Kong and Hiddleston's character. Here are a few gems from YouTube.
"So Kong is going to fall in love with Tom Hiddleston's character? Sign me up!" wrote one, while another pointed out that it was difficult to not fall for a guy such as Hiddleston. "Who isn't swayed by Tom Hiddleston?" noted another.
Kong: Skull Island will hit theatres on March 10. Check out the trailer below:
