Trisha in Ajith's "Thala 55"?

Ajith-Gautham Menon's "Thala 55" is one of the most-awaited films of 2014. The film boasts of an interesting star cast including Anushka Shetty, Vivek and Arun Vijay. If the latest reports are to be believed, then "Thala 55" might have one more addition to the cast list.

Actress Trisha's name is being associated with the film for some time. The buzz is that Trisha liked the script narrated to her and has given her nod to work in the film. She might join the film's team soon. However, there is no official confirmation in this regard.

"Thala 55" (tentatively titled) is touted to be an action thriller. Ajith is reportedly playing the role of a cop in the film. Harris Jayaraj will be working on the sound tracks, editing will be done by Anthony and cinematography by Dan Macarthur.

Vijay to Sport Beard, New Hair Style for Kaththi?

It is well-known that Vijay will be playing dual roles in "Kaththi," directed by AR Murugadoss.

Latest buzz is that the actor will be appearing with a beard and a new hair style for one of his roles, according to Cinemalead. The website reports that Vijay's character might be something like Robin Hood, who helps the needy.

"Kaththi" shooting is progressing at a brisk pace. The film is all set to hit the screens for diwali.

Samantha plays the female lead, while other cast members include comedian Sathish and bollywood actor Neil Nitin Nukesh. Film's music is composed by Anirudh of "Maan Karate" fame. Vijay is likely to croon one of the songs in "Kaththi."

Anirudh believes that "Kaththi" album will be a big leap in his career, reported Indiaglitz. He has also revealed that Vijay was impressed with one of his tunes and called him to appreciate his work. Vijay reportedly told that the third song he had composed is terrific ("anna paattu bayangarama irukkunganna"), the website reported.

Amy Jackson in Suriya-Venkat Prabhu Film

Suriya is all set to commence his next project with Venkat Prabhu after completing "Anjaan."

It has already been reported that Nayanthara will play the female lead opposite Suriya. Now, latest reports emerge that Amy Jackson will also be a part of the project. Actor Premgi Amaren will once again team up with his brother for this film, reported Behindwoods.

The film's shooting is expected to commence in the first or second week of June.

Lingaa First Schedule Wrapped Up

The first schedule of Rajinikanth-KS Ravikumar's "Lingaa" has been wrapped up. The film's shooting kicked off in the first week of May and the first schedule took place in Mysore and other areas in Karnataka.

"A beautiful day as I wrap up the first sched for my first Tamil film #Lingaa with an amazing crew that made me feel right at home," Sonakshi tweeted.

"Lingaa" is touted to be a commercial entertainer with Rajinikanth playing dual roles. Anushka Shetty plays one of the female leads along with Sonakshi Sinha. AR Rahman is the film's music composer, while Rathnavelu is the cinematographer.
