Ajith vs Vijay Films to clash Once Again?
After a span of nearly seven years, Ajith and Vijay's films clashed at the box office in January, this year.
Ajith's "Veeram" and Vijay's "Jilla" released on the same day - 10 January. Despite facing strong competition from each other, both the films performed well at the box office.
Now, the buzz is that Ajith and Vijay's films might clash one more time this year.
Vijay is currently busy with his upcoming project under Murugadoss's direction. The director has confirmed that the film will be hitting the screens for Diwali 2014.
Meanwhile, Ajith's new film with director Gautham Menon is yet to kick off. The film is expected to go on floors in the third week of March and it is expected to release for Diwali. However, there is no official confirmation on the same.
But, if the buzz turns out to be true, Tamil film industry and fans can witness one more mega clash between Thala and Ilayathalapathy films this year.
Vijay to Join Hands with Samuthirakani?
Even as Vijay is busy with Murugadoss's project, buzz surrounding the actor's upcoming projects have started doing the rounds.
After completing Murugadoss's film, Vijay is expected to kick off his new film with director Chimbu Devan. Besides this film, Vijay is said to be in talks with acclaimed directors like Suseenthiran and Sasikumar.
Buzz is also that "Raja Rani" director Atlee had also approached Vijay with a new script.
Now, speculations are doing the rounds that director Samuthirakani has approached Vijay for a new film. However, there is no official confirmation on the same.
Samuthirakani's "Nimirnthu Nil" released on Saturday (8 March) and the director's next project "Kedhaari" will have Amala Paul in the lead.
Rajinikanth-Shankar Film to Use "Live action 3D" Technology?
There have been lot of rumours doing the rounds regarding Rajinikanth's new projects after "Kochadaiiyaan."
Buzz is that the superstar will work with director KS Ravikumar after which he will team up with Shankar for their third film.
Shankar has reportedly narrated two-hour live action script (without any songs) to Rajinikanth and the superstar seems to have been impressed with it, according to Cinemalead. If the film goes on floors, it would be India's first live action 3D film.
While these are just speculations, an official confirmation from the director is still awaited.
Vadivelu's Comeback Film to Release in April?
Popular comedian Vadivelu will be making a comeback with his upcoming film "Jagajala Pujabala Tenaliraman."
Vadivelu is reportedly appearing in a dual role in the film, directed by debutant Yuvaraj Dayalan.
The film's music, composed by Imman, is likely to release soon. He is currently working on the background scores of the film, which is deemed as a comedy caper.
Meenakshi Dixit, Santhana Barathy, Radha Ravi, Mano Bala and Mansoor Ali Khan will also be appearing in pivotal roles.
The film is expected to release in April, however, an official confirmation on the exact release date is still awaited.
Simbu-Selvaraghavan Film to be a Stylish-Action flick?
Recently, reports emerged that Simbu will be working with director Selvaraghavan in his next project.
Trisha will reportedly play the female lead in the film, which will have music by Yuvanshankar Raja.
Earlier, it was speculated that the film would be a romantic entertainer. But, it appears that the Simbu starrer will be a stylish action entertainer. Besides Trisha, there will be one more heroine in the film.
The director is yet to officially reveal the details about the film's cast and crew.
Gauthami in "Drishyam" Remake?
It is well known that Malayalam film "Drishyam" will be remade in Tamil with Kamal Haasan in the lead.
However, there has been a lot of buzz doing the rounds as to who would play the female lead role in the film.
Earlier, names of actors including Meena (who did the female lead role in the original version), Simran and Nadiya Moidu were in the radar. But, recently, Simran confirmed that she is not doing the "Drishyam" remake in any language.
It appears that Meena is not in the running anymore, whereas, Nadiya has reportedly been approached to play a cop character in the film.
Now, latest buzz is that actress Gauthami might make a comeback to the film industry with the "Drishyam" remake. However, there is no official confirmation on the same.
Kamal is currently working in "Uthama Villain" and his other film "Vishwaroopam 2" is gearing up for release. Details about "Drishyam" remake are expected to be available after Kamal completes these two projects.
