"Maan Karate" Release on 4 April
Sivakarthikeyan-Hansika starrer "Maan Karate" is all set to be the first, big summer release of 2014 in Kollywood. The film is slated to hit the screens on 4 April.
Directed by Thirukumaran, "Maan Karate" is one of the most awaited films of 2014. The film's audio and trailer, which were released last week, received fantastic response from the audience. The songs, composed by Anirudh, turned out to be big hits and the trailer, uploaded on YouTube, has fetched more than 8 lakh hits.
The trailer promises that the film will be an entertainer will all commercial elements. The film is expected to take a solid opening on its release, considering Sivakarthikeyan is a popular star.
AR Rahman for "Vijay 58"?
In the past, AR Rahman scored songs for two of Vijay's films: "Udhaya" and "Azhagiya Thamizh Magan". And now, the latest buzz is that the Oscar-winner might join the Vijay-Chimbudevan project ("Vijay 58"), which will be produced by Shibu Thameens and PT Selvakumar.
It is being reported that the filmmakers are planning to approach Rahman for the new project. However, sources have claimed that it is too early to confirm it, according to Behindwoods.
Vijay is currently busy with the AR Murugadoss film, which is gearing up for a Diwali release. More clarity about his next project is expected to be available after "Vijay 57"gets completed.
"Vallavanukku Pullum Aayudham" First Look Posters

The comedy thriller, directed by Srinath, is a remake of Telugu film "Maryada Ramanna." The film will have Santhanam in the male lead role, while newcomer Ashna Zaveri will play his heroine. The film is likely to hit the screens this year.
Arya-Tamannaah-Nayanthara for "Boss Engira Baskaran 2"?
There were reports earlier that Arya will be teaming up with director Rajesh once again, post the success of "Boss Engira Baskaran". And now, the buzz is that the actor-director duo might join hands for the sequel to "Boss".
The original cast of the film is expected to be reprised with Arya-Santhanam and Nayanthara in the lead roles. Speculations are rife that Tamannaah might also join for the sequel.
Rajesh is currently busy completing two scripts, with one being the "Boss" sequel. After the scripting is done, the director and Arya will decide on which one to take up, reported Behindwoods website. Details about the film's cast and crew will be revealed later.
Jiiva to Romance Kajal Aggarwal in New Film?
Jiiva, who is currently busy with Ravi K Chandran's "Yaan", will start his new film soon. The buzz is that Kajal Aggarwal will play the female lead opposite Jiiva in the film, touted as a romantic entertainer.
The untitled flick, directed by Chandramouly, will reportedly have Sathyaraj, Soori and Suhasini in supporting roles.
Simbu to Work with Mysskin?
It looks like Simbu is now the hot choice of several promising directors, known for their critically acclaimed films.
The actor is currently working in Gautham Menon and Pandiraj films, besides his much-delayed "Vaalu". He will soon team up with director Selvaraghavan for a new film, which will have Trisha as the female lead.
Now, rumours are doing the rounds that the actor might work with Mysskin. The director will narrate a script to Simbu and, if all goes well, the actor might take up the project, reported Cinemalead.
