Ajith, Anushka to Shoot in Malaysia
The shooting of Ajith-Anushka Shetty's untitled flick is progressing well. The team has moved to Malaysia to shoot some portions for the film.
The "Thala 55" team will be shooting in Malaysia for over 10 days, according to reports.
"Gautham and his team will begin shooting in Malaysia from tomorrow, and this schedule is likely to go on for more than 10 days. Ajith and Anushka will be shooting for their combination scenes, and an important action sequence will also be canned. The unit will be filming in almost all the landmarks in Malaysia, including the international airport there," a source told the Times of India.
This is the first time that Ajith and director Gautham Menon has teamed up for a film and the expectations are huge.
Besides Anushka, comedian Vivek and Arun Vijay are doing pivotal roles in "Thala 55." Trisha is also reportedly playing a significant character in the film, but there is no official confirmation on the same.
The film's music is composed by Harris Jayaraj and the buzz is that the composer has already delivered two tunes for the flick.
"Kaththi" Shooting Resumes Today
The shooting of Vijay's "Kaththi" will be resuming from Monday (9 June).
Director Murugadoss had taken a break from the film's shooting to promote his Hindi flick "Holiday – A Soldier is Never Off Duty." Now that the Akshay Kumar has hit the screens, Murugadoss has returned to Chennai to resume "Kaththi" shooting.
The new schedule will continue for more than a month and some key portions will be shot during this period, according to reports.
"Kaththi" is one of the most-awaited films of 2014. The film, touted to be an action entertainer, will have Vijay in dual roles. Samantha, Bollywood actor Neil Nitin Mukesh and comedian Sathish are also part of the project.
Suriya-Venkat Prabhu's film titled "Poochandi"?
Latest rumour doing the rounds is that Suriya's film with director Venkat Prabhu will be titled as "Poochandi." However, there is no official word regarding the title.
The film, deemed as a fantasy action entertainer, is expected to go on floors in July.
Buzz is that Nayanthara has been approached to play the female lead in the film. It is also being speculated that Shruti Haasan might be a part of the project. Details about the film's cast and crew are yet to be officially announced.
"Anegan" Satellite Rights for Whopping Amount
Buzz is that the satellite rights of Dhanush's "Anegan" have been sold for a huge amount.
It is being said that Sun TV has acquired the satellite rights for a sum of ₹18 crore. "Anegan" is tipped as the biggest film in Dhanush's career as it involves a big budget.
Directed by K.V.Anand, "Anegan" has newcomer Amyra Dastur as the female lead opposite Dhanush. The film's other cast members include Karthik, Ashish Vidyarthi, Thalaivasal Vijay, Mukesh Tiwari and Jagan.
Soundarya Rajinikanth Clarifies on Simbu
In a recent interview, Soundarya was asked as to what she would tell Simbu if she was a journalist. The "Kochadaiiyaan" director promptly replied that she would ask him not to sing ("Paadatheenga Simbu").
This irked Simbu's fans and they started posting abusive messages on social networking sites. Soon, Simbu intervened and requested his fans to stop the abusive approach.
