An explosion was reported in a school in Kolkata on Saturday in which at least one person has been injured.
The explosion occurred at the Dum Dum Cantonment area inside the school campus, according to news agency ANI.
The blast occurred in the God Church School in Kolkata's Dum Dum Cantonment Area, after a student picked up a 'black ball' on the school ground and threw it at another student, NDTV reported.
The ball-like object reportedly hit a wall and exploded, injuring a former student of the school, the report said.
"I tried to catch this object that looked like a ball and, perhaps luckily I missed. It hit a brick wall behind me and exploded," the former student who was injured in the blast told NDTV.
Miscreants had reportedly loaded the object with low-intensity explosives and thrown it into the school grounds.
