Police, RPF, Barrackpore, CID's Bomb Squad along with SRP Sealdah Debasish Bej and Barrackpore police commissioner Niraj Singh reached the spot soon after incident took place.
Preliminary investigation suggested that the blast was the result of an argument between two rival groups, and the miscreants hurled crude bombs at each other inside compartment number five following a scuffle.
While the police said it was a low-intensity blast, all services in the route have been suspended and security has been tightened in view of passengers' safety, The Indian Express reported.
