The much-awaited Malayalam movie, "Kohinoor", starring Asif Ali, which hit the theatres on Thursday, 24 September, has received mixed reviews.

Fans have been enthralled by Asif Ali's intro scene, in which he imitates Mohanlal's Sagar Alias Jacky.

The retro-heist film, which will lock horns with Dileep-Jeethu Joseph's "Life of Josutty", has been directed by Vinay Govind and written by Salil Menon and Ranjeet Kamala Sankar.

Aparna Vinod of "Njan Ninnodu Koodeyundu" fame plays the female lead opposite Asif Ali. The cast of the film also includes Indrajith Sukumaran, Aju Varghese, Vinay Forrt and Chemban Vinod.

The music of the movie has been composed by Rahul Raj, while the cinematography has been handled by Pradheesh M Varma and editing by Arju Ben.

The movie features two songs, "Hemanthamen" sung by Vijay Yesudas and "Dum Dum Dum" by Vineeth Sreenivasan. Rahul Raj has composed the music, while the lyrics have been penned by Harinarayanan BK.

"Kohinoor" has been produced by Asif Ali, Sajin Jaffar and Brijeesh Mohamed under the banner of Adam's World Of Imagination.
