Even as speculations were rife that the new season of Karan Johar's famous chat show Koffee With Karan would see Fawad Khan as the first guest, the filmmaker has refuted to the report claiming that nothing has been decided as of now.
At the 7th Jagran Film Festival, when Karan was asked if the Pakistani heartthrob will be gracing the first episode of Koffee With Karan 5, he said: "No. I haven't yet reached the combination. There has been a lot of conjecture about that. We are zeroing on episode one and will answer soon."
The Ae Dil Hai Mushkil director further said that the new season would see the same Bollywood stars who had made appearances in the previous seasons but in different combination. "It's just another season. We have not created many more stars. There will be same lot in different combinations. Luckily, they (actors) have new enemies, lovers and controversies. So that keeps changing," Indo Asian News Service (IANS) quoted Karan as saying.
The filmmaker-producer has recently shot for the promo of Koffee With Karan 5 and he took to social media to announce it along with a picture. "Started the #koffeewithkaran shoot today...shot the promo! This Season...things are hotting up.... @StarWorldIndia."
Koffee With Karan, which started in 2004, is known for its controversial questions and answers and the witty rapid fire round. Some reports suggest that Karan has planned to make Koffee With Karan Season 5 spicier and more interesting. Koffee With Karan Season 5 is expected to go on air by September or October this year.
While the last season saw Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Emraan Hashmi making their appearances for the first time, Amitabh Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Rani Mukerji, Farah Khan and others have had graced the chat show for the past several seasons.
