One-film-old Athiya Shetty has apparently refused to appear on the fifth edition of Karan Johar's "Koffee With Karan," courtesy her potential co-guests. The "Heropanti" actress doesn't wish to be in the same frame with Tiger Shroff or Sooraj Pancholi.
"She would much rather appear with Varun (Dhawan) or Sidharth (Malhotra) on the show than Tiger or Sooraj. They are bigger stars. Apart from the two, she wouldn't mind being accompanied by her father Suniel Shetty as well," a source told the Asian Age.
Meanwhile, host Karan told the Times of India that he enjoys the madness that comes with the show. Although it gets "irritating" to co-ordinate with the celebrities and their dates, it is a fun experience, he added.
"I love doing Koffee With Karan. It is most entertaining, but it is also irritating to make those celebrity combinations and then coordinate with them to get their dates. However, it is a small price to pay for such a fun show. I am proud to say that it is in its 11th year now and is watched all over the world. But more than anything, I absolutely love sitting on that sofa and behaving like I know everything about everything," he further elaborated.
Right after Karan announced that he would be returning to TV with the popular chat show, speculations about his first guest (on the show) began. In one of his candid Twitter chats, the director even confirmed that the opening episode will feature him and no one else.
SRK has appeared on the show quite a few times. Thrice with one of his closest friends Kajol, once with wife Gauri Khan and former couple Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan, once with Deepika Padukone and Farah Khan. He also made a solo appearance in the third season.
