Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy unveiled the new logo and design of Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) during a function at Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) in Ernakulam on Thursday, 3 September.
The CM also unveiled the final design of the metro train and coaches during the event.
The logo of the dream project is in aquamarine blue, a colour that symbolises calmness, sophistication and water.
"Here we unveil the elegant and class design of Kochi Metro reflecting the culture, heritage and heartbeat of Kochi. Above all, experience a world-class travel everyday," Kochi Metro Rail posted on its Facebook handle.
The logos of other services of Kochi Metro Rail like water bus, bus, bicycle and taxi were also unveiled.

The CM, along with Excise Minister K Babu, Youth Congress president Hibi Eden, Minister for Electricity Aryadan Muhammed and other ministers and leaders also reviewed the Kochi Metro Rail work in progress at Alwaye, Muttom Yard, Cusat and Kalamassery.
After visiting the work sites, the CM expressed satisfaction over the progress of the project and promised that the coaches will arrive within 100 days. He also promised that the scheduled work will be completed on time. The CM also lauded the project advisor E Sreedharan and the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).
Once finished, the KMRL project will cover 25 kms from Alwaye town to Petta.
