Guwahati, June 07 (ANI): Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju on Saturday visited Guwahati city in Assam to pay tribute to a Superintendent of Police and a policeman who was killed by a militant outfit. Rijiju, accompanied by state Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, paid homage to the martyr. He visited the state following the directive of Home Minister Rajnath Singh following the killing of the senior officer. The Karbi Peoples' Liberation Tigers (KPLT) militants killed a Superintendent of Police and another policeman in Assam's Karbi Anglong district on Thursday during police action. During the visit, Rijiju is expected to hold a meeting with state government officials and take stock of the law and order situation.
