Matthew Vaughn's Kingsman: The Secret Service was a runaway hit as it set the box office on fire in 2014. Now, the trailer of the sequel has been released and boy, aren't we excited!
With the soundtrack of Frank Sinatra's My Way in the background, the trailer shows Taron Egerton as young spy Gary "Eggsy" Unwin and features Colin Firth, Mark Strong, Channing Tatum, Halle Berry, Jeff Bridges, and Julianne Moore amid the chaos.
Vaughn's back at the helm with the Kingsman sequel and the trailer promises a complete package: Humour, action and a host of new characters. The trailer doesn't give away a lot on the plotline but shows how a person becomes part of the Kingsman.
The trailer reveals the Kingsman is being hounded and is forced to team up with the Statesman.
Talking to Empire, director Vaughn had said, while the Kingsman 2 will not feature the iconic church sequence, there will be more to the movie. "I have no reason for another massacre to happen," he said. "But I have other sequences you've never seen before."
In an interview to Collider, Egerton said fans could expect "a f**king mental movie and it's not for the faint of heart, but it's awesome." He said, "It's bigger and it feels more ambitious, really. There are more characters; the world is explored in more detail. This weird version of reality where these spies exist is kind of explored more. We discover a sister organization based in America called the Statesman... they're richer than us, they've got cool s**t."
Kingsman: The Secret Service made $414 million at worldwide box office.
Director Vaughn and his team at the 20th Century Fox will aim to surpass the Secret Service's box office record. Kingsman: The Golden Circle arrives in theaters on September 29, 2017.
