Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) Deemed University in Maharashtra's Karad district has invited applications for its PhD admissions for the academic year 2015-16.
Candidates will be chosen by a selection committee based on entrance test and interview. Those who have passed NET/SET/GATE/JRF/MPhil need not take the test, but they will have to appear in the interview. UGC/CSIR/NBHM fellows are also exempted from the entrance test.
Apart from performance in entrance test and interview, the academic records of the candidate will also be considered by the committee during the selection process.

Eligibility
The candidates who qualify for KIMS PhD admission shall have to fulfil the following eligibility requirements:
- Post graduate degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade awarded by concerned university in the related subject
- MSc or 2-year diploma or degree in the subject of Human Health Sciences
- Persons working in National Laboratories - institutes / Government / Private Organisation nominated / sponsored by the respective employer
- In professional faculties like Ayurved, Medicine, Law, Homeopathy etc persons having completed graduation and have got at least 15 years of professional experience

Exam Pattern
The entrance test, conducted in English, will have two sections of objective type questions with a total of 75 marks. Section 1 will cover the subject of choice (50 marks), while Section 2 will have aptitude and general knowledge questions (25 marks).
