Kim Kardashian took to her Instagram account to share a picture of her engagement ring and reveal how excited she was, just hours after Kanye West popped the big question.
Kim was just getting used to being a new mom and showing off her baby girl North West, when her long-time boyfriend popped the big question in San Francisco's AT&T Park on Monday night. The two got engaged right away and the event has been making headlines ever since.
"YES!" she captioned the picture, on her Instagram account, showcasing the stunning 15-carat diamond sparkler by celebrity jeweler Lorraine Schwartz.
The proposal couldn't have been more romantic. Firstly, it was planned as a gift for the actress' 33rd birthday. West rented the stadium that's home to the San Francisco Giants, hired a 50-piece orchestra and paid for fireworks to illuminate the San Francisco sky.
Khloe Kardashian Odom was the first family member to react to the news, expressing her delight through her Twitter account.
"Wow!!!!! Am I dreaming??!?!" she asked her nearly 8.5 million followers. "Tears of JOY!!!!!!! Wow!!!!!!"
Obviously a comparison between both of Kim's engagement rings was immediately drawn. Though both rings were created by the same designer, they couldn't have been more different. NBA star and former husband Kris Humphries had proposed to Kim with a 20.5-carat diamond ring made up of a 16.21-carat rectangular-cut center diamond with I color, VS1 clarity, and two 1.80-carat side diamonds, back in May 2011.
