The last words of boyband SHINee's lead singer Kim Jonghyun, who died in an apparent suicide on Monday, have been revealed. Jang Hee-yeon, the lead singer of rock group Dear Cloud and close friend of Kim, said that the singer wanted fans to know his last words.
Jang shared the suicide note of the 27-year-old singer on Instagram after consulting with his family. It is not clear when the note was written. In the painful note, he spoke about depression and how it has affected him. He even spoke about the hard times he faced because of his fame, South Korean news agency Yonhap reported.

"I'm broken from the inside. The depression that has slowly nibbled me away has now devoured me, and I couldn't overcome it," Kim wrote, according to the Instagram post.
"I thought being a doctor was so easy when blaming it on my character in a quiet voice. It's amazing that it hurts this much. No one alive is more tormented nor weaker than myself."
"Becoming famous was probably not my life. They tell me that's why I'm having a hard time ... Why did I choose that? It's funny that I'm able to endure this much. Tell me this is enough, that I did well. Even if you can't smile, don't send me off blaming me. You did well, you did good. Goodbye," he ended the note.
Jonghyun was found unconscious at his rented apartment studio in Cheongdam-dong, southern Seoul, at around 6.10 pm local time. He was taken to hospital in a state of cardiac arrest, but he was pronounced dead. His sister made the initial call to 119, an emergency telephone number in South Korea, Japan, China and a few other Asian countries, at around 4.42 pm local time after she received his "final farewell" message.
"Please let me go. Tell me I did well" and "Final farewell," Jonghyun sent the message to his sister, following which she called the police. In a statement, the Gangnam Police said that his sister called cops and told them that Jonghyun threatened to take his life.
"On December 18, 2017 at 4:42PM Jonghyun's older sister reported to Police that her brother was about to commit suicide. We went to his residence in Chungdam and discovered that he had attempted to commit suicide with brown coal briquettes lit inside a frying pan. Emergency responders were with us at the time so we rushed him to the Konkuk University Hospital in a state of cardiac arrest," the statement read, according to Koreaboo.
