South Korean actor Kim Hyun Joong and his ex-girlfriend Ms Choi are still debating on the fatherhood of the new born baby and are yet to reveal any details about the DNA test. But speculations are rife that the results will be announced before their next court meeting, which will be held on 30 October.
The Korean entertainer and his former lover had their third round of court hearing at Seoul Central District Court on Wednesday, 23 September. During the meeting, the legal representatives from both the sides blamed each other.
Choi's defence attorney Sun Jong Moon claimed that the 29-year-old actor is "behaving in a way that is not manly" as he "still refuses to acknowledge anything". He even stated that the actor's representative refused their plea to present a witness at court.
"He knows well enough how he and Choi were together and lived together. He knew about the pregnancy and the miscarriage, as well, but he says they don't concern him. It's truly a tragic scenario. It's shocking that he didn't celebrate the child he had with the woman he loved. I can't help but feel sorry for my client who is living [alone] with her new baby," Allkpop quoted him as saying.
Jong Moon even informed that they are planning to file a paternity suit against the actor. "It's just taking some time because we have to register the birth of the baby and take care of other matters [related to the birth]. We will check the DNA at a place that is reputable and legally recognised," he added.
On the other hand, Hyun Joong's defence attorney Lee Jae Man stated that his former girlfriend is making allegations against his client and she doesn't have any documents or images related to her treatments. "Choi has totally mutilated Kim Hyun Joong using the press. Kim Hyun Joong and his family doesn't even want to meet with Choi anymore," he added.
