Jacqueline Fernandez seems to have struck gold after the success of "Kick", opposite Salman Khan. The Sri Lankan beauty has recently become one of most sought after actresses in bollywood.
Recently, Karan Johar, who is considered a big shot in the industry, impressed with her performance, had immediately roped her in his ambitious project, "Brothers" starring Akhay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra, the shooting of which has already begun.
And now, the buzz is that the actress has bagged another project of Johar's Dharma Productions, "Ram Lakhan", reported Deccan Chronicle.
If reports are anything to go by, then the "Housefull 2" actress will reprise the role of Dimple Kapadia in the remake of "Ram Lakhan" directed by Rohit Shetty. Kapadia in the original film played Ram's love interest Geeta.
There were also reports that Amrita Singh has been approached for the role of Ram and Lakhan's mother Sharda (originally played by Rakhee).
Ever since Johar associated with the "Singham Returns" director for the remake of the iconic film, originally starred by Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff, speculations regarding the cast of the remake have been doing the rounds.
Rumours were rife that Malhotra and Varun Dhawan were approached for the film. Even Ranveer Singh had expressed his eagerness to feature as the lead in the film. However, nothing has been confirmed yet.
Apparently, the production rights of Subhash Ghai's "Ram Lakhan" (1989) have been sold to Dharma productions at a whopping five crores. Not just that, the yesteryear director will also co-produce the remake of the comedy drama along with Johar.
Meanwhile, Fernandez, will also been seen in a double-role in Vikramjit Singh's "Roy" starring Ranbir Kapoor and Arjun Rampal.
