Sneha May Francis of Emirates 24/7 said: "This one's reserved exclusively for Salman loyalists, who can whistle and applaud their hero's antics but leaves nothing much for his non-fans. It's unlike his amazingly clever 'Dabangg' that had surprisingly won over both sides.

"As the curtains roll down, we can't help but notice how it requires a skillset of a different kind to watch Salman's movies. If you don't have it in you, please don't venture out!"

Tushar Joshi of Bollywoodlife.com said: "One word – Salman! This guy has never looked so good in any of his films, and we are talking about his IMDB biography from Wanted to Dabangg.

"Kick isn't just reinventing Salman's work portfolio, but it is also going to rewrite box-office figures and previous records set by the actor. Kick is a full on entertainer that will give you the much needed 'kick' in cinema halls this weekend!"

Mohar Basu of Koimoi.com said: "Kick is an official amalgamation of Dhoom and a bunch of trademark Salman films. To its credit, the film quite achieves what it sets out for: massy trappings. Salman in very few roles genuinely seems to enjoy himself and Kick is one of the sparing few. If you don't mind paying for massive canvas, high voltage action, chemistry with a tinge of electricity and songs that will get you ecstatic – this is your shot at getting a solid high! Whistle baja time 'coz this is a Bollywood fillum.

"Kick isn't a pile-on, on Salman's harebrained repertoire. Luckily, it has the thrill in its action parts and the fuzziness in its romantic ones. Salman sinks his teeth in a character that is a blend of his best roles, delivering a film that is a welcome change from his regular formulaic potboilers."

Taran Adarsh of Bollywood Hungama said: "KICK has the magnificence [in terms of production values] that was lacking in Salman's previous movies. This is a big ticket movie and Sajid, who has produced larger-than-life extravaganzas in the past, makes sure every frame appears luminous, tasteful and eye-catching.

"On the whole, KICK is a paisa vasool, seeti-maar entertainer. Get ready for a Tsunami called KICK at the ticket window. It is sure to rewrite box-office records. Salman fans, rejoice. KICK is a sure-shot B-L-O-C-K-B-U-S-T-E-R. To quote a dialogue from the film: 'Woh apni Eidi lene zaroor aayega'."

Manjari Saxena of Gulf News said: "Kick comprises all the histrionics that come with a Salman Khan film — action, comedy, romance and melodrama.

"You don't have to be a scriptwriter to know what happens next. You just need to leave your brains home and enjoy the story, if it can be called that."
