Set to release on Friday, "Kick" will see Salman Khan perform gravity-defying stunts and thrilling action sequences. It's too early to critique the upcoming flick, but fans can expect generous helpings of action with a pinch of drama.
The story is about a very mysterious Devil (Salman Khan), who looks for "kick," a simplified version of adrenaline rush, in everything he does, Shaina (Jacqueline Fernandez), his ladylove and Himanshu (Randeep Hooda), a cop who has finally found an "intelligent" thief to chase after. When Khan was asked what his name meant, he told Rediff, "My name in the film is Devi Lal Singh. So the short form is Devi L which becomes Devil."
The trailer, which has garnered over 15 million views, shows Khan on the run and Hooda simmering as he waits to bring the "Devil" down. The dialogue, "Main dil mein aata hoon, samajh mein nahin," is one of the key highlights of the teaser and is undoubtedly one of Salman's best ever punchlines.
The film also features Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a significant role. According to reports, the actor had a good time on set and said Salman was his most honest co-actor. Sri Lankan beauty Fernandez, has reportedly, dubbed for herself for the first time.
Music composers, Himesh Reshammiya and Meet Bros Anjjan, have created a peppy album with fun numbers. Apart from the already popular "Jumme Ki Raat", "Hangover", sung by Khan, is slowly climbing the charts.
Just two days away from release, the buzz for the Sajid Nadiadwala film is massive. Twitter fans have trended #KICKStormIn2Days and are eagerly waiting for Khan to smash all box office records. Cashing in on the uncontrolled Salman Khan frenzy, the distributors are looking at increasing ticket prices by 15 – 20 percent, reports suggest. The hike is common with big and festive releases these days. The idea is to exploit the holiday weekend as much as possible.
