After having non-stop run, Salman Khan's "Kick" has slowed down its pace at the domestic box office in its fourth week, due to the release of "Singham Returns".
Since 15 August was a holiday, "Kick" was expected to rake in some decent amount. But it minted only ₹53 lakh on the fourth Friday, taking its overall income to ₹229.65 crore.

"Kick" had a fantastic first weekend, followed by the first week and second weekend. Since there were no movies in its second week, the Salman starrer enjoyed the weekdays run as well. Its collection declined majorly in the third week due to the release of Akshay Kumar's "Entertainment" and lesser screen count. But in its third week, it managed to rake in ₹14.01 crore despite competition.

However, in its fourth week, the film has received a major setback with the release of Ajay Devgn-Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer "Singham Returns". The film will rake in some money during the fourth weekend, but during the weekdays it will be difficult for it to fare in.
But overall, "Kick" has put a good show at the box office by emerging as the highest grosser film of the year. It also became the third highest grosser film of all time.
After surpassing #3Idiots, #Kick now overtakes #ChennaiExpress biz in India. #Kick total till Wed: ₹ 228.08 cr nett. ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER!
