Salman Khan's much-hyped action drama "Kick" had a blockbuster start worldwide and the opening day income is highest for films released in 2014. But "Kick" failed to beat the day one record of "Dhoom 3."
"Dhoom 3", which was also released on a working day, had earned a whopping ₹36 crore from the domestic box office. "Dhoom 3" starring Aamir Khan has remained in the top position with highest opening day income, beating both holiday and non-holiday releases.
As per early estimates, Salman's "Kick" has earned more than ₹26 crore from Friday's run. Not only, "Dhoom 3", "Kick" also failed to beat Shah Rukh Khan's "Chennai Express" and his 2012 release "Ek Tha Tiger" opening day record.
