Arjun Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor romancing in "Ki and Ka" may give you the creeps after learning of what's being reported about the relationship they share. According to theories, the stars are related in a way that makes Arjun his co-star's uncle.
But the young actor has denied the possibility saying it would be "gross" to be doing a film together if they shared a family tree. The speculations suggest that Kareena's great grandfather Prithviraj Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor's grandfather Surinder Kapoor were far off cousins, which makes Kareena, Karisma Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor, Sonam and Arjun's nieces and nephew, respectively.
"Huh? My grandad was Shammi Kapoor's secretary. That's how we became family friends. It's silly speculation. If we were related we would know. And we would have not done this film na. It would be kinda gross," Arjun told Miss Malini.
Both the actors have repeatedly stressed on the fact they have known each other for years and that they have always shared a warm friendship. While Arjun said it was fun working with a "friend" and that he was never intimidated by her, Kareena believed it was a fun experience shooting with him. "Arjun has the sense of the craft. Being a producer's son, he knows the intricacies of the film business," she told Hindustan Times.
Directed by R Balki, the film is already a rage of sorts and its unique story has got everyone talking. Scheduled for an April 1 release, the romantic-drama features Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan in cameos.
