The makers of KGF had taken extreme care to ensure that the movie does not make it to internet through backdoors. Unfortunately, their efforts have gone in vain as Yash's multilingual movie has been hit by piracy.
A few days before the release, there were rumours that KGF was leaked online. The makers came out with a clarification that the actual shots, which were doing rounds online, were from the trailer. They had announced that a team was formed to monitor the piracy and bring down the illegal links from the internet.
However, despite their best efforts the full movie is out online.
KGF has garnered fairly positive reviews from the critics, while it has won unanimous positive response from the audience. The storyline, performance of Yash, music, cinematography and entire production values left the the audience in awe of the flick.
Considering the good hype in Karnataka, KGF is expected to do well at the box office, but the piracy might take toll on the collection in other parts of the country following the mixed talks.
Prashanth Neel's KGF is an action thriller in which Yash plays the role named Rocky, an ambitious man who desires to be the most powerful and rich in the world. It is a two-part movie, produced by Hombale Films.
Almost all big movies these days out on torrent sites within a day of the release. While some movies make their way to the internet (with good or poor print quality) within a day of the release, there have been instances when some movies were leaked online even before they hit theatres.
It has to be noted that piracy rate has increased manifold over the years with the rise in internet penetration across the globe and India.
