Yash's KGF, which has become the biggest hit of his career, has become a feather in his cap. Not just in Karnataka, the period drama has made notable collection at the box office in Andhra, Telangana and Hindi belt in fivedays.
Released in over 2460 screens on 21 December, the Christmas season has turned out to be lucky for Yash again as his latest movie KGF has done a record business. Earlier, his Mr and Mrs Ramachari and Masterpiece had set the box office on fire.
From South India, KGF is estimated to have raked in over Rs 41.7 crore in four days. The film has performed extremely well at the Karnataka box office, whereas it has made a decent collection in the Telugu speaking states. In Tamil Nadu and Kerala, the Prashant Neel's flick is yet to leave an impact.
From the remaining part of the country, KGF has estimated to have grossed over Rs 15 crore in four days. Despite facing competition from Shah Rukh Khan's Zero, the Yash-starrer has gone strength to strength and has attracted the urban Hindi audience.
Coming to the overseas, KGF has grossed over Rs 2.5 crore in the US, say trade reports. The movie is expected to release in other parts of the world in the coming weeks.
Prashanth Neel's KGF has opened to mixed reviews with Yash's performance and technical departments getting unanimous positive reviews. The Hombale Films-produced film is a period drama which tells the story of an ambitious man, who wants to become the most powerful and richest man of the world.
