The Hindi version of Yash's KGF: Chapter 1 is undeterred by Simba (Simmba) as it has continued to rock the box office in the second week, taking its total collection beyond Rs 30 crore mark net in 12 days.
Despite clashing with Zero, the Hindi version of KGF: Chapter 1 collected Rs 21.45 crore net at the Indian box office in the first week. But the people in B-Town were sceptical about its business in the second week as it clashed with another Ranveer Singh's much-hyped action film Simba, which hit the screens on December 28.
The new release Simba reduced its screen from 1,500 to 780 in its second week. Despite this reduction, the Hindi version of KGF: Chapter 1 managed to put up a healthy number on its second Friday and went on to show decent growth on its second Saturday and Sunday. Surprisingly, its Monday business was better than its second Friday collection and its second Tuesday earnings are equal to that of its second Sunday.
The Hindi version of Yash's KGF: Chapter 1 has collected Rs 9 crore net at the Indian box office in five days of its second week and its 12-day total collection has reached Rs 30.45 crore net in the domestic market.
Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#KGF gets a boost on second Mon [31 Dec] and second Tue [1 Jan]... Crosses ₹ 30 cr mark... Mumbai circuit continues to dominate... [Week 2] Fri 1.25 cr, Sat 1.75 cr, Sun 2.25 cr, Mon 1.50 cr, Tue 2.25 cr. Total: ₹ 30.45 cr. India biz. Note: HINDI version."
The Hindi version of Yash's KGF: Chapter 1 will not have any competitor in its third week as they are no new releases. The movie is likely to continue to keep the cash registers ringing at the ticket counters in next week too. Considering its current pace of collection, the film will cross Rs 40 crore net mark.
