Though Google has released their Android 5.0 Lollipop a few months back there are hundreds of major Android smartphones which are yet to receive the much deserving update. But with further improvements Google has now declared the latest version Lollipop 5.1.
The latest version has already been featured on the latest Android One smartphones rolled out in the Philippines and Indonesia and there are rumours that Google will release the same probably by next month. Once available, the Google Play Edition smartphones from several manufacturers like Motorola and Samsung will surely get the update including the Nexus ones.
There are several rumours regarding the features of Lollipop 5.1 too. While a few are asserting that the latest features only necessary bug fixing, others are claiming it also features some material improvements too.
Recently, Android Police has released some screenshots along with a couple of videos of the next generation Lollipop OS. According to that feature the Lollipop 5.12 features some improvements to the behaviour of WiFi and Bluetooth connection right in the notification area.
In the update users will be able to connect with other devices via WiFi or Bluetooth right from the notification area. It also features numerous small arrows in each connectivity options. Once pressed that will show all the available connection and for switching you just need to tap on the device name appeared on the list.
The latest update also features clock app with a revamped interface by adding some new animation. Apart from these it will probably retain back the old school 'Silent Mode' and fix up all the annoying bugs.
