Director Sudheer Varma's Telugu movie Keshava has received brilliant response at the worldwide box office on the first day and the film is set to become the biggest opener for actor Nikhil Siddharth.
The promos had generated lot of hype for Keshava and the makers had promoted it well before its release. The movie was released in 353 screens in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, 100 screens in other parts of India, 111 screnes in the US, 50 screens in UAE and 20 screens in other international markets. The film has been released in a total of 650 screens across the globe and it is the biggest release for Nikhil.
Keshava was premiered in the US and it has received good response. The bosses of RedHeart Movies, which has distributed it, tweeted: "#Keshava USA Premiers Today @8PM in 111+ locations. Luxury Reserved Seats Available Check @AbhishekPicture." They added: "#Keshava Swamy RaRa Duo Magic Repeats. Good Comedy & Top Technical Brilliance Huge Opening in USA for @actor_Nikhil @AbhishekPicture."
Keshava has collected $55,507 at the US box office in the premiere shows and shattered the record of Nikhil's last outing Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada, which minted $24,000 in the preview shows. Idlebrain Jeevi tweeted: "#Keshava collects $55,507 in 97 locations through premieres in USA. @actor_Nikhil earlier film #EPC's premiere count was $24k "
The Nikhil Siddharth and Ritu Varma-starrer has opened to superb response in the morning and matinee shows on Friday and it ran to packed houses in several centres. G Sriniwasa kumar, an observer from the industry, tweeted: "USA to Hyderabad #Keshava opens with packed houses And recieving ultra positive talk @actor_Nikhil @sudheerkvarma's duo repeats the magic."
As per early trends, Keshava is expected to collect Rs. 5 crore gross at the worldwide box office on the first day. The movie will emerge as the biggest opener for Nikhil Siddharth, beating the record of his previous release Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada, which collected Rs. 3.15 crore gross in the global market on its first day and is the biggest opener for the actor.
