While many of us find it difficult to count the number of words in a sentence, here is a smart girl who can count the number of letters in a word or a sentence within a matter of seconds.
Neva G Porunnolil, a 5th standard student of Ebenezer International School in Ettumanoor, Kottayam, has become a star in her school with this extraordinary skill.
Be it in Malayalam or English, she can easily count the total number of letters in a word or a long sentence within seconds. It was her two elder brothers who recognised the extraordinary talent of their little sister, who is an ardent reader with a small library at home.
In a recent interview with Manorama News channel, Neva said that when she realised her ability to count the number of letters within seconds, she thought it was something that anybody can do with ease.
For instance, when asked to say the number of letters in the sentence, "The rain forest are home to a vast variety of animals that can be as huge as an African forest elephant or as tiny as a mouse lemur," Neva answered "104" within just four seconds.
After some official procedures, the 10-year-old is now set to enter her name in the history of Guinness World Records.
