The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court is likely to announce the verdict of the infamous 2009 murder case of businessman Paul Muthoot George on Thursday, 13 August.
Paul, the scion of the multi-crore Muthoot finance group, was 32 when he was murdered at Ponga near Alappuzha, Kerala, on 21 August, 2009.
The victim was said to be on his way to a resort at Champakulam at around 1.30 am when he was attacked and killed by a group of men on a tempo traveller.
More than 100 witnesses have given their statement in the case, which has been under investigation for the past two-and-a-half years by the CBI.
The CBI had then filed two chargesheets on the case, one for killing Paul and the other for destroying the evidence.
Two goons from Changanasherry, Jayachandran and Kari Satheesan, are among the accused.
