When the updated results of Kerala Secondary School leaving Certificate (SSLC) was declared on 26 April, the South Indian state reported a record pass percentage of 98.56.
4,61,542 students became eligible for higher studies and Malappuram district had the highest number of students with A+ in the SSLC exam.
Now, latest reports from Malappuram suggest that out of 81,070 students who applied for plus one, only 33,288 were listed even after the announcement of single window second allotment list.
It has to be noted that the district has only 33,306 plus one seats and 18 seats for SC/ST students, and 47,782 students, including the ones who secured A+ in more than eight subjects, are still awaiting to get admission for higher studies.

Following this, students and parents are urging authorities to increase the number of seats in the district, like the 20% increment of seats the previous year.
Meanwhile, the rank list of plus one community quota seats were published on Monday, 29 June. Students can check the list on the websites of the respective schools. Check Community Ranklist HERE.
Students who were selected in the second allotment list can join the schools before 4 pm on Wednesday. VHSE Single window third allotment results will also be published on Wednesday.
Plus one classes will begin on 8 July.
