Buffalo meat dishes, an indispensible part of Kerala cuisine, will be back on the menu of Kerala House from Wednesday, following orders from Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.
'Carabeef' was taken off the menu after the Delhi police raided the Kerala House following opposition from a Hindutva outfit.
The Kerala CM has also wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, seeking that home ministry to take action against the police officers who "raided" the Kerala House, which comes under the jurisdiction of Kerala government.
"I would like to inform you that the Kerala House staff canteen serves authentic vegetarian and non-vegetarian Kerala cuisine and the items in the menu are entirely within law," NDTV cited Chandy's letter.
However, Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi said that the police did not raid Kerala House.
Besides the Kerala CM, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee slammed the action of Delhi police.
Del police had no business to enter Kerala house. It is an attack on fed structure. Del police is acting like BJP Sena(2/2)
