After an earth-shattering opening in the state, superstar Mohanlal's latest Malayalam crime thriller Oppam is continuing its successful run at the Kerala box office. The Priyadarshan directorial, released on September 8, is all set to become one of the highest grosser for the actor.
According to trade analysts, Oppam is said to have collected a gross amount of Rs. 32.83 crore within 26 days of its theatrical run in the state. The crime thriller, which also stars Sampath, Baby Meenakshi, Anusree, Nedumudi Venu and Vimala Raman in pivotal roles, is still running with decent theatre occupancy in Kerala.
The Mohanlal-starrer made an approximate collection of Rs 1.56 crore on its first day and witnessed a growth of over 13 percent on the second day. The first-week collection of the movie is said to be Rs 12.6 crore.
The collection of Oppam is expected to get affected this week as Mohanlal's most anticipated action thriller Pulimurugan has been scheduled to hit the screens on October 7. The big-budget Vysakh directed movie is expected to replace Oppam in many screens in Kerala after getting pitted against Mammootty's family entertainer Thoppil Joppan on the same day.
