Nivin Pauly and Vineeth Sreenivasan's latest release "Jacobinte Swargarajyam" (JSR) has been enjoying a dream run in India and abroad after being tagged as one of the best family entertainers in recent times.
The movie has performed well at the multiplexes in Kochi, breaking the collection record of the actor-director duo's previous comedy entertainer "Oru Vadakkan Selfie" (OVS). "JSR" is said to have collected Rs. 2.25 crore from Kochi multiplexes within 28 days of its release, while the total collection of "OVS" from the multiplexes in the city stood at Rs. 2.21 crore. Meanwhile, "JSR" has collected a gross amount of $23,534 from 17 screens during its second weekend at the U.S. box office. The total two weeks collection of the Nivin-starrer now amounts to $69,092 (Rs. 45.9 lakh).

"JSR," or "Jacob's Kingdom of Heaven," which narrates the story of an NRI family settled in Dubai, is inspired from the real-life incidents that happened to NRI businessman Jacob Zacharia and his family. The film has Renji Panicker, Lakshmy Ramakrishnan, Sreenath Bhasi, Aima Sebastian, Stacen, TG Ravi, Sai Kumar, Dinesh Prabhakar and Reba John in significant roles.
"JSR," which is the fourth association of Vineeth and Nivin after "Malarvadi Arts Club," "Thattathin Marayathu" and "Oru Vadakkan Selfie," was released in the U.A.E. on May 4 after one month of its release in Kerala, and will hit the screens in the U.K. on May 6.
