2016 has been good so far for Mollywood as many movies performed well at the Kerla box office. Prithviraj Sukumaran's "Paavada," Nivin Pauly's "Action Hero Biju," Fahadh Faasils' "Maheshinte Prathikaaram," Mammootty's "Puthiya Niyamam," Kunchacko Boban's "Vettah," Dulquer Salmaan's "Kali" and Dileep's "King Liar" have been opened to positive responses, making tremendous collection at the box office in Kerala.
The comedy entertainer "King Liar," which is the reunion movie of director duo Siddique and Lal after 22 years, made good opening day collection and has reportedly grossed an approximate amount of Rs. 5.32 crore with a share of Rs. 2.35 crore within four days of theatrical run at the Kerala box office.

The Sameer Thahir directorial "Kali" starring Dulquer and Sai Pallavi have been doing good business at the Kerala box office and is reported to have collected a gross amount of Rs. 8.15 crore within 10 days of its release. It has been ranked on the top spot among Malayalam movies with maximum opening-day collection by earning approximately Rs. 2.33 crore on the first day.
Meanwhile, Kunchacko Boban-Manju Warrier-Indrajith Sukumaran's psycological thriller, directed by late filmmaker Rajesh Pillai, is said to have collected a gross amount of Rs. 6.54 crore gross with a share of Rs. 2.83 crore after 28 days of its release.

The G Marthandan directorial "Paavada," released Jan. 15, is the first blockbuster movie of the year and the final box office figure of the movie hints that it has grossed Rs. 16.34 crore with an approximate share amount of Rs. 7.17 crore. The Prithviraj and Anoop Menon-starrer had completed 100 days of its theatrical run at the Kerala box office.

Megastar Mammootty and Nayanatara's "Puthiya Niyamam" has reportedly collected Rs. 8.12 crore and its approximate share amount is said to be Rs. 3.38 crore. The AK Sajan directorial had completed more than 7,000 shows in Kerala alone as of March 19.
