Young superstar Dulquer Salmaan's Christmas release "Charlie" is ruling the box office in Kerala ever since it hit the theatres on 24 December. The Martin Prakkat directorial, starring Parvathy had opened to positive response and collected Rs 2.15 crore on the opening day itself.
The movie is still at the top of the Kerala box office as far as 1-3 January weekend collections and theatre occupancy go. "Charlie" is said to have collected more than Rs 12.81 crore within 11 days of its release.

"My Boss" team Dileep and Mamta Mohandas' latest comedy entertainer "Two Countries" is also going steady as the second-highest grosser among Christmas releases after it hit the screens on 25 December. "Two Countries", directed by Shafi and scripted by Rafi, has been running successfully in theatres with houseful shows in Kerala. The movie is said to have collected Rs Rs 10.75 crore after 10 days of its theatrical run.
Unni Mukudan's action thriller "Style", the first Malayalam movie released in 2016, is set to become the first winner of the year at the Kerala box office, as it has been getting good response and collection reports. Even though the Binu S directorial has a clichéd plot, critics have lauded him for presenting the action thriller in a different style. Apart from Unni, actor Tovino Thomas, who plays the antogonist in the movie, has also been applauded for his performance and screen presence.
Meanwhile, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Aju Varghese, Neeraj Madhav and Namitha Pramod-starrer "Adi Kapyare Kootamani" has reportedly grossed Rs 4.6 crore within eight days, followed by Manju Warrier and Master Sanoop Santhosh's family entertainer "Jo and the Boy", which is also getting good response from the audience.
