A wanted Bodo militant, who was arrested by the Kerala Police in Kozhikode on Tuesday, will be handed over to the Assam Police this week.
Dinda, who is believed to be the chief commanding officer of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB), was living in Kozhikode along with several Assamese migrant labourers for over a month.
The militant, who made a telephone call to his relative in Assam, was arrested after the police traced his call.
In a sting operation, one of the police officials went to the hideout and told the migrant workers that he was looking for a casual labourer for his needs.
The official managed to take Dinda's photo and it was sent to the Assam Police. After confirming that the person in the picture was the wanted Bodo militant, the police arrested him.
