There is no doubt, the South Indian state Kerala is becoming one of the safest places for people belonging to the transgender community with them getting many privileges in the society. After the news on Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) employing 23 transgenders, a multi-national company, based in the US, is setting an example by giving job to a person belonging to the third gender.

Zara Sheikha has now become the first transgender joining an MNC in Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram to the team of Human Resources department of UST Global. A selfie of Zara wearing the ID and tag of the company has also surfaced online.
"Announcing the first Transgender HR in UST Global Mx. Zara Sheikha from #Queerythm LGBTIQ Community Trivandrum. Zara, the shining star of our community with self esteem and pride, has demonstrated the wide space of possibilities that a TG can achieve. We congratulate Mx. Zara and Team UST Global for this opportunity. #Proud #ZARA #Queerythm [sic]," Queerythm, a community for transgenders posted on its Facebook page.
After netizens started sharing the news of Zara, people on social media have been praising the company for their effort in empowering transgenders, who otherwise face negligence from the society. Many of the employees of the company have also welcomed their new colleague with congratulatory messages on social media.

Recently, Kochi Metro was hailed for employing 23 transgenders, who have been given special training in numerous skills, including hospitality, front office, security, computers and counselling. Mohanlal, Manju Warrier, Aashiq Abu and many other celebs had then appreciated the initiative of the prestigious project of Kerala. After conducting sports meet for them, the state is also set to have the first-ever beauty pageant Queen of Dhwayah for transgenders, to be organised by Dhwayah Arts and Cultural Society.
