Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Adami Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal and his supporters led a protest to the Home Ministry on Monday, demanding action against Delhi police for alleged dereliction of duty. 

Kejriwal was accompanied by cabinet colleagues Manish Sisodia, Somnath Bharti and Rakhi Birla in the protest.

Adding to the woes of the party, a group of protesters calling themselves BAAP (Bhartiya Aam Aadmi Party) gate-crashed AAP's protest and started a demonstration against Kejriwal. The protestors said they support the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and are against Kejriwal's dharna and the actions of his government.

The Delhi Police, which is directly under command of the Lt Governor, is currently holding back the Kejriwal protesters. Water cannons have been deployed to hold back the protesters.

The AAP, which emerged as an anti-corruption outfit during Anna Hazare's Jan Lokpal movement, is demanding action against the police officers who refused to cooperate with Law Minister Somnath Bharti.

Bharti had ordered a crackdown on an suspected drug and prostitution racket in South Delhi without a warrant, drawing much ire from the public. The mob led by the minster was allegedly targetted at South African nationals.

Citizens took to Twitter to protest against the AAP dharan that has disrupted the traffic and metro rail operations, bringing the city to a halt.  #YoKejriwalSoBrave became a trending topic on the micro-blogging website.
