Keerthy Suresh, who made her debut with Priyadarshan's "Geethanjali" is now trending as one of the most sought after actress of the industry. The upcoming star is set for her next with "Ordinary" team Kunchacko Boban and Biju Menon.
The film is said to be a love story where Keerthi will be seen romancing Kunchacko. The actress will be seen as a Sri Lankan lady, who knows only Tamil and both Kunchacko and Biju are taxi drivers in Dubai. In the comedy entertainer, Biju essays the role of a Muslim from Malappuram.
The untitled movie is directed by Sugeeth and is scripted by Nishad Koya. Sugeeth made his directorial debut with 2012 film "Ordinary". Though the critics gave an average review, it gained huge positive responses from the audience and went on to become one of the biggest hits of the year.
Following the success of "Ordinary", the director went on to make another Kunchacko–Biju movie "3 Dots". However, the gamble did not hit the target and the movie received below average reception from both critics and movie-goers.
"The 'Ordinary' team wanted to join hands after the success of Sugeeth's debut film. First we had planned 'Ithu Thanda Police' but that subject did not work out well. So, we are here again with another project, which will be an entertaining love story shot entirely in Dubai and Sri Lanka," said Nishad Koya, the script writer of the upcoming entertainer to The Times of India.
Nishad had earlier scripted two Kuchacko movies, "Ordinary" and "Polytechnic".
Meanwhile, the duo's last outing "Bhaiyya Bhaiyya" failed to make a mark at the box office, though their other films like "Seniors", "Mallu Singh" and "Romans" were superhits.
For Keerthy, her last movie was "Ring Master" opposite Dileep, which turned out to be a blockbuster hit. She is now working for her Tamil movie "Rajini Murugan" opposite Sivakarthikeyan and is awaiting the release of the Malayalam movie "Darboni" and Telugu movie "Randu Jella Sita".
The shooting of the upcoming Sugeeth film is expected to kick start on 10 January 2015 in Dubai. The movie also has Suraj Venjaramoodu, Neeraj Madhav, Niyas Backer and Sadiq in important roles.
