Actor Tarun Gahlot who plays a significant role in director Abhishek Kapoor's Kedarnath spoke about his character in the film, his experience of working with Sara Ali Khan, shooting the film at extreme conditions and his Bollywood journey till date.
He shared, " My character name is Kailash and role is of a Pithu leader who fulfils the demands of Pithus by negotiating with the Mandals who is a very honest man. While Sushant is the Pithu, my role is to constantly support his honesty and fight for what is good and in favour of All."
On his experience working with Sara, Tarun shared, "Ofcourse, I've had a beautiful experience working on this film, it's been a very rejuvenating experience to have shot at Kedarnath, the journey itself has been spiritual which synced with the vibe of the film.
Sara is a very humble person, for a debutant she was very professional, mature and a very positive energy on set. Working with her has been a wonderful experience, though my scenes were very limited with her but Sara used to fold her hands and say Namaste, stand in the que for food along with the rest of the team. but I realised through the shoot that she is genuinely a very humble and respectful human being."
He further added, "Working on this film has been very challenging because we have worked in extreme conditions, shot in freezing cold in the rain in Kedarnath and then shoot in bombay in extreme heat.
I would like to thank Abhishek sir and my casting director Mukesh Chabbra for this wonderful opportunity and to the whole team for being the family they have been. Please go experience this beautiful spiritual love story and I wish the best for our film."
Talking about his journey, Tarun said, "I started my career in Bombay in 2006 as a model, after being a successful model I realised my heart was in a so I joined FTII, i have worked on several films including Tezaab 2 as a lead with N Chandra which is yet to release, breathe for Amazon prime videos, the test case for Alt Balaji and upcoming Sandeep aur Pinky faraar under the YRF banner with Dibakar banerjee."
