Melody Queen Lata Mangeshkar says that she was in tears after hearing Bollywood megastar and TV host Amitabh Bachchan reciting the parting lines at the grand finale of the season 8 of his popular show "Kaun Banega Crorepati" (KBC 8).
The 85-year-old singer took to her Twitter page on 17 May to share the excitement over the grand finale of "KBC 8". In her message posted on Twitlonger, Mangeshkar expressed her feelings over Bachchan's performance in the last episode of the show.
Here is the English version of Mangeshkar's Hindi message posted on Twitlonger. "Hello. I was watching the last episode of 'Kaun Banega Crorepati'. Govinda, Ranveer Singh, Ali Zafar, Parineeti Chopra and Ronit Roy were also present on the episode. The show was very nice."
Mangeshkar continued and praised Bachchan. "As usual, Amit ji made it a brilliant episode. He concluded the show by reciting a few lines 'mohobbat karnewale kam na honge, teri mehfil mein lekin hum na honge'. The moment he recited the lines, my eyes were filled with tears."
Meanwhile, Mangeshkar ended her message wishing Bachchan good health. "@SrBachchan Amit ji I have a very special place for you in my heart. I respect you a lot. May god keep you happy always and healthy and give a long life. These are my best wishes. Tathastu."
