Ekta Kapoor's new venture "Kavach," which will go on air from June 11, has already landed in trouble. According to reports, Maheck Chahal, who had been roped in to play the main antagonist, has met with an accident, severely injuring her leg.
The gorgeous actress, who will be making her fiction debut with "Kavach," is currently not shooting and is in the process of recovery. In fact, rumour has it that the makers have started looking for her replacement.
"Maheck met with an accident and injured her leg badly. She cannot move around and thus had no option but to step out of the project. Balaji Telefilms has already started its hunt for her replacement," a source told Tellychakkar.com.
However, Maheck told the Times of India she would resume shooting from June 4. The actress has also posted a picture of her injury on her social media account. "I have been practising kick-boxing for the past 10 years, but on Sunday during one of the sessions I met with an accident. I tore my ligament and also fractured my knee. The production house Balaji has been very kind and has given me a three-four days' break so currently I am resting," she said.
On being asked how would she continue with the show, the actress said: "I can't predict the future but right now I am on painkillers and very much part of the show. I will resume shooting on June 4. I will be meeting a specialist soon and then I will be in a better position to decide. He is one of the top doctors from Ambani hospital. He is a physiotherapist for the Mumbai Indians team so I am just keeping my fingers crossed and praying I will be fine soon. I am walking on crutches."
"Kavach" has been making a lot of buzz as it will see popular actress Mona Singh and Vivek Dahiya of "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" fame sharing screen space for the first time. The show is a finite series and will revolve around Mona's character, who will goes to any extent to protect her husband from the spirit of his ex-lover.
