While Ekta Kapoor's new venture "Kavach" is garnering overwhelming response from viewers, Maheck Chahal, who plays the role of Manjulika, is likely quit the show. The actress, who had suffered a leg injury before the show went on air, has not yet recovered completely. This has forced the actress to consider the idea of quitting the show.
"I have no idea what will happen in the future. Many other actors in my place would have been sitting at home by now, but I am still going to work. All I can say is that I don't want the project to suffer for now. Currently, I am in a lot of pain and I don't think that I'll be able to do the stunts," Maheck told SpotboyE.
"Kavach" marked the fictional debut of Maheck. Earlier when the gorgeous actress met with the accident, rumour had it that the makers have started looking for her replacement. However, the actress resumed the shoot soon after.
"Kavach" has Mona Singh and Vivek Dahiya in lead roles. The show is a finite series and revolves around Mona's character Pari, who will go to any extent to protect her husband Rajbir (played by Vivek) from the spirit of his ex-lover Manjulika.
The first episode of "Kavach," aired on June 11, managed to attract 17.5 million television viewers. The episode faced tough competition from other shows, which were also aired on the channel during weekends.
