Megastar Amitabh Bachchan's hit game show "Kaun Banega Crorepati" (KBS), which is set to go on air from 2 August, will have Kapil Sharma as its first guest.
The senior actor posted on his official blog, "So episodes over, its rehearsals for the Surat show .. with some incomparable people like Kapil Sharma." He also posted a couple of exclusive pictures from the shoot.
Incredible comic-timing and fierce wit is what makes Sharma the man he is today. With film offers to endorsement deals, the stand-up comedian's career has taken a flying start. A household name, Sharma's presence on the hit game show will not only fuel the TRP ratings but will also be an interesting episode in terms of its humour quotient.
Bachchan, during the promotion of "Bhoothnath Returns," came to the sets of "Comedy Nights with Kapil" to promote his supernatural comedy entertainer. He was seen having a good time with the rest of the cast.
Dolly Daadi's (Ali Asgar) antiques impressed Bachchan, generating a few laughs. And very surprisingly, he, along with Sharma, pulled a fast one on Raju (Chandan Prabhakar). Will Sharma have as much as fun on the sets of "KBC 8"? While only time will tell what's in store, the viewers are now interested in watching them come together on the show.
Bachchan's TV debut "Yudh" hasn't fared well and is continuing in a sluggish pace. Hopefully the popular quiz show turns out to be a redeemer.
Started in 2000, "KBC" is an adaptation of the UK game show "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" This year, the makers of the show have focused on peace and religious bonding. The tag line has been very interestingly put as "Yahan sirf paise nahi dil bhi jeete jate hain."
