Imran Khan-starrer "Katti Batti" did a decent business in the domestic market on Saturday.
"Katti Batti" had made Rs 5.28 crore on the day of release and it was expected that the movie would show a good improvement on the second day. However, the Bollywood flick failed to pull the audience in big numbers and it could only make Rs 5.48 crore, which is a marginal growth compared to the opening day.
The two-day collection of "Katti Batti" now stands at Rs 10.76 crore. Leading trade tracker Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#KattiBatti biz hardly witnesses much growth on Sat. Fri 5.28 cr, Sat 5.48 cr. Total: ₹ 10.76 cr. India biz."
"Katti Batti" is mainly targeted at the urban audiences. But as the movie has not got favourable response from the audience, the collections did not witness a good growth. It has to be noted that Nikhil Advani's previous week release "Hero" performed better than this flick.
Even on the release day, the turnout was not good, but it improved slightly in the evening shows in metros. However, the makers hope that the movie would improve its performance on its first Sunday, which is crucial for the film's success at the box office.
"Katti Batti" is written by Anshul Singhal and produced by UTV Motion Pictures. It is a romantic-comedy released to 1,200 screens in India and has Imran Khan and Kangana Ranaut in the lead roles.
