Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif will be seen in her upcoming film "Fitoor" next month and her red hair look has been the talk of the town since the inception of the movie. Katrina has coloured her hair red because the character of Firdaus in "Fitoor" demanded so.
However, one will be shocked, like the producers were, to learn the amount spent on colouring her hair. Katrina's hair colouring cost around Rs 55 lakh to the film's producers, who are not thrilled about it, according to openthemagazine.com.
The report suggests that Katrina was unable to find any professional hair stylist locally who could give her mane the desired shade of red required for the character. Thus, she hired a London-based hair colouring expert, for which she had to fly to London every few months for a fresh coat.
As a result, the producers had to face the expenses of Katrina's first class flight ticket, her manager's business class ticket and a five-star hotel's room for accommodation. The magazine further stated that the actress' hair colouring has cost the filmmakers more than their original budget.
Meanwhile, the actress is busy promoting her film, which will be released on 12 February, on reality shows and other events. Abhishek Kapoor's "Fitoor" shows Aditya Roy Kapur as a Kashmiri lad Noor who falls in love with Katrina's character Firdaus. It is a love story that also features Tabu in a pivotal role. This is the Indian adaptation of Charles Dickens' "Great Expectations".
Recently, Katrina made headlines over her break-up with Ranbir Kapoor. The couple split after dating for six years, including one year of living together. Interestingly, the two are still doing Anurag Basu's "Jagga Jasoos", which is set to be released this year.
