A day prior to Zero movie release, the makers had released a song called Heer Badnaam which was picturised on Katrina Kaif's reel-life character named Babita Kumari. The song showed Katrina trying to put forth her stardom after her break up. But did you know that the song was actually inspired by Katrina's real break up with Ranbir Kapoor.
Yes of course, the makers of Zero have taken the liberty to change the circumstances and situations shown in the film to keep the storyline intact. While Babita, a leading actress in Bollywoood, turns arrogant and alcoholic after parting ways with her onscreen love interest Abhay Deol, Katrina, in her real life, had shifted her focus to fitness and started spending some me time after her bitter break up with Ranbir Kapoor.
"Abhay Deol, who will portray Babita's husband in the film, will essay the role of an actor named Aditya Kapoor based on Ranbir," a source confirmed to DNA.
Zero starring Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma has opened to mixed reviews from critics and audience alike on the first day of its release.
The movie, which is directed by the talented director Aanand L Rai, failed to strike the right chord with the audience. While the first half of Zero managed to entertain the viewers in the cinema halls, the second half made people cry a river thanks to its poor screenplay, missing sub-plots and 'zero' emotional connect. The performances by its lead actors were the only saving grace for this Zero.
While the morning shows had received upto 80 per cent occupancy in theatres, it started witnessing dip in the afternoon shows possibly because of the bad word of mouth from audience. The movie witnessed overall upto 40 per cent occupany on its opening day.
Zero is expected to take off at the box office on a good note but the movie has undoubtedly come as a major disappointment, especially for Shah Rukh Khan who has been struggling to give a stellar hit over the past couple of years.
